The National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday valid for Saturday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Georgetown and Horry counties.
The weather service comments, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” says the weather service.
This advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
