On Monday at 7:43 p.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service states, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the weather service.
This advisory is in effect until Tuesday at 7 p.m.
