On Friday at 3:10 a.m. an updated heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Georgetown and Horry counties.
The weather service adds to anticipate, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” adds the weather service.
This advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
