On Monday at 3:09 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid for Monday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service states, “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to around 45 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
This advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
