On Monday at 3:04 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a high wind watch valid for Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service comments, “South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph possible.”
“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” describes the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.”
This watch is in effect until Tuesday at 10 p.m.
