On Thursday at 3:31 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid for Thursday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service describes, “Heat index values up to 107 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” comments the weather service.
This advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.
