On Wednesday at 2:50 a.m. an updated high surf advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 7 a.m. for Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service comments, “Large breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet in the surf zone.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions with localized beach erosion,” comments the weather service. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
This advisory is in effect until 7 a.m.
