A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 4:25 a.m. for patchy frost until 8:30 a.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Georgetown and Horry counties.
“Sheltered locations and rural areas may observe patchy frost and freezing temperatures early this morning, especially where winds become calm and any clouds clear before sunrise,” says the weather service.
This alert is in effect until 8:30 a.m.
