On Wednesday at 4:55 a.m. an updated storm surge watch was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 1 p.m. for Georgetown County.
“WIND – LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Tropical Storm force wind – Peak Wind Forecast: 30-40 mph with gusts to 50 mph,” says the weather service.
This watch is in effect until 1 p.m.
