The National Weather Service issued an updated storm surge watch at 4:55 a.m. on Wednesday in effect until 1 p.m. for Horry County.
“LOCATIONS AFFECTED – Surfside Beach – Myrtle Beach – North Myrtle Beach WIND – LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Tropical Storm force wind – Peak Wind Forecast: 30-40 mph with gusts to 50 mph – Window for Tropical Storm force winds: until Thursday afternoon,” according to the weather service.
This watch is in effect until 1 p.m.
