On Wednesday at 4 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory in effect until 8 p.m. for Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.
