The National Weather Service issued an updated high surf advisory at 3:33 a.m. on Monday in effect until noon for Horry and Georgetown counties.
The weather service states, “Large breaking waves of 6 to 7 feet in the surf zone.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions,” adds the weather service. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
This advisory is in effect until noon.
